Parking garage penthouse in Miami Beach
The Lincoln Road parking garage designed by Swiss architects Herzog and de Meuron (see article in the “New Yorker” and video) is crowned by the penthouse of owner Robert Wennett; and (as of autumn) Jakob Schlaepfer textiles will be a major feature in it. We’ll keep you posted.

Costumes for the “Queen of Sheba”
Jakob Schlaepfer is the creator of the theatre costumes and accessories used in the open air performance of “La Regina da Saba”, which had its premiere on the Julier Pass on July 16 with 13 further performances up to August 7. The event is part of the annual “Origen Festival Cultural”, which is held at various places in Canton Graubünden, and whose prime purpose is to promote new professional musical productions.

The American designer Marc Desplaines has used Jakob Schlaepfer’s Décor collection to ennoble chairs and beds in his Antoine Proulx collection; the result is currently on display in the Savel showroom in Seattle.
“Glinka Orchid” in the Hotel Eden, Spiez
In the connecting staircase leading to the hotel’s new annex, which is to be used as a congress and meeting centre, Bernese interior designers Anita Kaderli and Rudolf Schweizer have employed the eye-catching Jakob Schlaepfer wall covering, “Glinka Orchid”.
The Décor Collections in Basel
Michele Rondelli presents the Jakob Schlaepfer Décor collections to an audience in Basel as part of a special exhibition in the newly opened “Living Your Style” showroom of interior designer Mario Frank.
“Glinka Orchid” in Abu Dhabi
The VIP lounge at Abu Dhabi’s 20th international book fair, which attracted 840 exhibitors and 236,000 visitors, was designed by Haldner Associates and featured the floral decoration of Jakob Schlaepfer’s “Glinka Orchid” wall covering.
